What is good food?

  • Food that supports the growers and environments that create it
  • Food without compromise between sustainability, quality, and affordability

My goal is to help agriculture change into something better. To do this, it’s important to acknowledge that agriculture both is successful at feeding more people than at any time in history and is built on dispossession, slavery, and ecological harm. Agriculture faces a lot of challenges in the future, including climate change and social inequities. Reconciling the complexities of the past with the realities of the future requires us to understand the linkages between eaters, farmers, and natural systems.
